Resi round-up: Miami-Dade waterfront homes sales hot in June
Waterfront properties are leading sales in Miami-Dade County’s luxury residential market this month.
In Golden Beach, Michael Rappaport and his wife, Anamaria Rappaport, sold their home at 610 North Island Drive to EAL LLC, a Delaware entity for $19.6 million, records show. Rapport is president of Maryland-based Homespire Mortgage, not the comedic actor of the same name.
Jonathan Mann of Coldwell Banker Realty had the listing, and Oren Alexander of Official brought the buyer.
The Rappaports bought the 0.4-acre waterfront property for $14.1 million in 2021, a record for non-waterfront homes in Golden Beach at the time. Built in 1983, the nearly 7,200-square-foot, six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom house was rebuilt in 2012, per the listing. Cesar Molina led the redesign of the home, which has 100 feet of water frontage.
Spec developers Sergio and Remir Fernando Guardazzi sold a waterfront spec house in Key Biscayne for $17.5 million. Their Florida firm sold the home at 901 Harbor Drive to Valmat Management, a Florida LLC linked to Peruvian executive Victor Manuel Matta Curotto in an off-market deal, records show.
The Guardazzis bought the waterfront 0.4-acre property for $6.3 million in 2021. They tore that home down to build a spec home, and went into contract with Curotto’s entity in September, according to records.
The pair have built and sold spec homes in Key Biscayne before, including to the former chief of French vaccine maker Sanofi.
Scott McClintock bought a waterfront Hibiscus Island home in Miami Beach for $16.2 million. McClintock bought the house at 421 North Hibiscus Drive from a Florida entity named for the address, records show. Julian Johnston of the Corcoran Group had the listing, and Pedro Casanova and Mate Granic of Keller Williams brought the buyer.
The selling entity bought the 0.2-acre waterfront home for $15.6 million in May of 2022. Built in 2017, the 4,200-square-foot home spans five bedrooms, five bathrooms and one half-bathroom. Miami-based architecture firm Choeff Levy Fischman designed the home, which includes a saltwater pool and dock, according to the listing.
