Home Tour: This Miami Beach Mansion Was Made to Wow

The waterfront home features resort-style amenities such as a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, and massage room.

Designed by Miami–based Choeff Levy Fischman Architecture + Design and situated on Miami Beach’s Venetian Islands, 8 W. Rivo Alto Drive makes the most of its waterfront location. Floor-to-ceiling glass overlooks the water, and the backyard offers more than 100 feet of water frontage. The 7,026-square-foot home, which boasts five bedrooms and seven-and-a-half baths, is on the market for $22.5 million—one of the 30 most expensive homes in Miami Beach. Jeff Miller of Brown Harris Stevens holds the listing. Here are five of the home’s most noteworthy spaces.

Talk about making a statement! From the moment you arrive at this two-story mansion, you know it’s something special. A cascading water feature pays homage to the home’s waterfront location, and a moat-like path leads across a reflecting pool and up a set of steps to the entrance. Double doors lead inside, where an elliptical staircase illuminated by a 300-square-foot skylight sets the stage for the rest of the trendy home.

Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the water and lush vegetation, making residents feel at harmony with their surroundings. In keeping with the glass motif, the home also includes an all-glass commercial-grade elevator, a glass-enclosed wine cellar, and giant glass balconies. There’s even a custom Ornare glass bathtub that looks out to the open water.

Home chefs will have everything they need at their fingertips in the sophisticated Boffi kitchen, which features Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. Whip up something to eat, and grab a seat at one of the stools by the kitchen island, or move to the formal dining room for a sit-down dinner.

The home’s open-concept, free-flowing living spaces are accentuated by floor-to-ceiling glass windows that capitalize on waterfront views. Cerused oak floors are present throughout, and a custom-designed, built-in saltwater aquarium adds further allure.

There’s no need to leave home to enjoy resort-style living. The backyard features a swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and dining area. You can also enjoy a massage in the detached outdoor structure, which includes a massage room and bath.
