Hot Kitchens: The Way To The Heart Of These Homes Is Through The Kitchen
In Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, there are plenty of condominiums to call home. Rarer, however, are single-family homes in this neighborhood coveted for its walkability, fine dining and family-friendly ambience. This 5,749-square-foot Tropical Modern home, at 819 Second St., was designed by Miami architecture firm Choeff Levy Fischman, with interiors by Amy Herman. Priced at $6.999 million, it has three bedrooms, five baths and a 1,250-square-foot rooftop deck. The kitchen is a sleek modern design, with polished marble countertops and walnut cabinets. A limestone backsplash extends to the ceiling, while lighting over the kitchen island serves as a focal point. “I don’t consider this lighting,” says designer Amy Herman. “I think of this as art.”
